Alluxa Announces a Doubling of Production Capacity

Santa Rosa, CA – Alluxa, Inc., the leader in high performance optical filters and optical coatings is pleased to announce a further factory expansion at its Santa Rosa location that will double its production capacity over the next 2 years.

According to CEO, Mike Scobey: “We are gratified that customer demand for our new products and customer initiatives requires us to launch another facility, production and technology expansion. This latest expansion will bring our total floor space to over 40,000 square feet, and the number of deposition machines running our proprietary SIRRUS™ Plasma Deposition process to 24. This will allow us to keep pace with the increasing demand for our optical coatings and filters, as well as to continue to enable an aggressive new product development and R&D schedule.”

Peter Egerton, EVP of Business Development, states, “The new expansion continues the pattern of aggressive capital deployment and hiring to support the needs of our customers with increased production levels and enough extra capacity to enable rapid turn from prototype to production for our OEM projects.”
