Alluxa announces “Ultra-Narrow Band Filters” with less than 1 nm bandwidth and greater than 95% transmission in the passband.

Alluxa, an emerging leader in next generation optical filters is pleased to announce the production of Ultra-Narrow band filters with very high levels of in-band transmission.

According to CEO Mike Scobey “As we optimize the performance of our coating systems, we are continually striving to push the limits of production-ready filter performance like this Ultra-Narrow filter. These filters are now manufacturing ready, not simply created once as a demonstration of capability. We are excited by new products like these because they offer our customers the highest levels of performance at competitive prices.” Designed to improve system level performance in laser line applications by providing significant improvements in both transmission levels and narrow bandwidth options these Ultra-Narrow filters offer customers a higher performance option for their OEM or experimental application.

Ultra-Narrow band filters are the latest product in Alluxa’s Ultra series of high performance filters. The Ultra line is intended to offer OEM customers and researchers higher performance than off the shelf products and commitment to tighter specification tolerances in order to provide the best possible system level performance.

A new whitepaper in Alluxa’s Learning Center introduces the “Ultra-Narrow Bandpass Filter” product line and gives guidance on the specification and usage of these filters.
